Shape guide

Almond, ballerina, stiletto or squoval

The shape is the outline of the nail. Pick one, and pick a length to go with it.

  • Medium and long

    Almond

Rounded sides that taper to a soft point. Flatters short and medium nails and shows off line work.

    • A good first shape

    • Sits well on short nails

  • Long and extra long

    Ballerina

Tapered sides with a flat, squared tip. A wide canvas for art and French tips.

    • Room for a full design

    • Needs a little care on day one

  • Extra long

    Stiletto

Long, narrow and pointed. The boldest outline, made for sculpted and chrome sets.

    • Takes the longest to shape

    • Plan for typing first

  • Short and medium

    Squoval

A square tip with softly rounded corners. The easiest shape to wear, short or medium.

    • Least likely to catch

    • Quickest to shape
